JEANETTE BOLDEN

Jeanette Bolden, a graduate of Centennial High School, is a track and field athlete.  Jeanette Bolden competed in the Games of the XXIII Olympiad, aka, the Los Angeles 1984 Olympics.  Jeanette Bolden won gold in the 4×100-meters relay race with teammates Alice Brown, Chandra Cheeseborough and Evelyn Ashford (Olympic 100-meter Champion)  Also, Bolden placed 4th place in the 100-meters race at the Los Angeles 1984 Olympics, in a time of 11.25 seconds.

Jeanette Bolden attended California State University, Northridge and later transferred to UCLA where she graduated in 1983.  Bolden was the head coach of the track and field team at the University of Central Florida.

Today, Jeanette Bolden is the co-owner of the 27th Street Bakery (2700 S. Central Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90011).  Superbly known for their sweet potato and pecan pies.  This is a 3rd generation family-owned and operated business, with a proud legacy of managers carrying it forward including Jeanette Bolden, Husband Al, and sister Denise.
